IPhA's Mission Statement

The Illinois Pharmacists Association is dedicated to enhancing the professional competency of pharmacists, advancing the standards of pharmacy practice, improving pharmacists’ effectiveness in assuring rational drug use in society, and leading in the resolution of public policy issues affecting pharmacists.

 The IPhA Foundation provides support in the form of grants, scholarships, and professional expertise for pharmacist delivered patient care initiatives designed to optimize patient health outcomes, student participation in IPhA activities, and the preservation and promotion of the history of pharmacy in Illinois.

 

The Illinois Pharmacists Political Action Committee is an organization established by the Illinois Pharmacists Association to channel financial contributions into political campaigns. The IPPAC solicits contributions, pools funds, and makes donations to the campaigns of candidates for state offices.

The Future of Illinois Pharmacy
 

APhA/WSU's Pharmacy-Based Immunization Administration by Pharmacy Technicians training program explores the expanding role of the pharmacy technician by providing additional skills training to administer immunizations.  This two-part program emphasizes a health care team collaboration between pharmacists and technicians which seeks to improve population health by increasing immunization rates in states that allow technicians to immunize.
